Why is NSSLHA raising money for this organization?
Each year the NSSLHA Executive Council selects a national organization working on behalf of families or individuals living with a communication disorder to promote social responsibility among our NSSLHA chapters and members.

How are chapters raising money for the "NSSLHA Loves" campaign?
There are several activities that chapters can use to raise money:
- Bowl-a-thon or walk-a-thon
- Gift wrapping [PDF]
- Haunted House [PDF]
- Movie night (Reserve space on your campus. Rent a movie from a local video outlet and host movies on campus. Charge students for admission and have someone donate food items that you can sell.)
- Silent auction (Ask local businesses and individuals to donate items. Then auction those items to the highest bidder. This activity usually accompanies a cocktail hour or other social event.)
- Conference fees (Host a conference on campus and allot a portion of the conference registration fees as a donation to the "NSSLHA Loves" campaign.)
How much money is my chapter expected to raise?
The Executive Council is asking every NSSLHA chapter to have a fundraising goal of $500.
Where do we send campaign contributions?
Use the "NSSLHA Loves" Campaign Contribution Form [PDF] to submit donations to SFA. Chapters should also keep a copy of the donation form for their records and send a copy of the form to the national office for recordkeeping. Please do not send donations to the national office of NSSLHA.
How will my chapter know that the donation has been received?
The national office requires the recipient organization to provide each chapter with an official receipt of donation.
Will the chapter receive any special recognition for participating in the "NSSLHA Loves" campaign?
Local chapters that donate $250 or more receive credit points toward the NSSLHA chapter recognition program.
