What are the Career Fair hours?

How do I post my free job posting?
Your free job posting is available beginning September 10 and expires November 30. After you purchase your Career Fair Booth,
- Log in using your login and password.
- Click "Post Jobs" and complete the information requested.
- Check the box next to 2008 ASHA Career Fair to get your free posting.
Ads submitted are reviewed and approved before they go live on ASHA's site. Please allow one to two business days for this process.
I just purchased my Career Fair booth and posted a job vacancy. Why is there a $350 charge?
Additional ads incur the regular $350 fee for ASHA's Online Career Center. If you have not posted your free job posting, you may have forgotten to check the box next to "ASHA's 2008 Career Fair." Contact customer service at 888-491-8833, ext. 1014 so that your ad can be tagged as a Career Fair ad. This means you will not need to pay the $350 fee. Your free job posting ends November 30.
We don't have a credit card. Does ASHA accept payments by check?
Payments by check will be accepted when the check is accompanied by an invoice prepared by our technical support. Once you've registered and selected your Career Fair package, call 888-491-8833, ext. 1014 to obtain an invoice. Include this invoice when you submit your check. A booth number will be assigned after payment is received.
The registration form requests information I do not know. Can I still register?
Registrants must complete all items with a red asterisk.
What is the Faculty Openings Section?
It is a designated area within the Career Fair where universities can interview candidates for academic positions.
Can I select my booth location?
Booth selection is assigned automatically within each category (premium, faculty, or standard) on a first come, first served basis. The earlier you register, the better the location.

What is the cost of a booth rental at the Career Fair?

9' x 10' booth = $1,000 per booth
The Career Fair begins November 20 and ends November 22. These prices are for all three days. Booths are not sold for individual days.
What does my Career Fair Package include?
Your complete Career Fair Package includes:
- A 9' × 10' booth with one 6' skirted table, three side chairs, carpet, and a wastebasket
- A 3' curtain will surround each booth on 2 sides
- A 7" x 44" booth ID sign that includes company name (30 character limit), city/state, and booth number
- Online resume database access through November 30
- One job posting, unlimited word count that expires on November 30
- Two badges to access the Career Fair and the Exhibit Hall
- Your company name and a 25 word description in the Exhibit's guide when you register by September 5.
What if I need electrical hookup, phone lines, or audiovisual equipment at the convention?
Your booth space rental does NOT include electricity, phone lines, or audiovisual equipment. Contract for telecommunications and AVHQ (audiovisual and computer equipment) services through the McCormick Place West (Convention Center) (electrical and telecommunications) and AVHQ (audiovisual and computer equipment). Contract for electrical services through Champion Exposition Services.

I plan to have a large display at the booth. Can I bring these displays with me or should I ship them?
If you plan to ship exhibit materials to the Convention, you'll need the appropriate address (advance warehouse or direct on-site), deadlines, and drayage rates. Make sure get the correct rates before you ship. Shipping costs can be expensive. All Advance warehouse shipments must arrive by November 12, 2008.

Champion will receive exhibitor's freight, store it up to 30 days prior to installation date, deliver it to booth on installation day, remove and store empty containers, and return empty containers to booth for repacking.

I missed the advance warehouse shipping date, what do I do?
Direct Shipments
Shipments sent directly to the facility will be received only on the scheduled move-in day(s). Shipments arriving at the facility earlier than move-in will be refused as the facility does not have storage space for these shipments.
The first day for direct freight acceptance is November 20, 2008.

Does my Career Fair booth package include admission to ASHA's Annual Convention?
No. To attend ASHA's Annual Convention, complete a separate registration form and submit payment according to your appropriate category. Your Career Fair package includes entrance into the Career Fair and the Exhibit Hall only.
Will I have Internet access at the convention?
Limited access will be available at the beginning and end of each day in the registration area of the Career Fair. These computers are intended for job seekers looking for positions and we request that Career Fair participants not use them when the Career Fair is open.
When can I set up my booth?
Wednesday, November 19, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 20, 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
When can I dismantle my booth?
We request that Career Fair participants commit to stay until the conclusion of the convention and to breakdown their booths between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2008.
How will job seekers know who is at the Career Fair?
Prior to Convention, job seekers will search ASHA's Online Career Center for job vacancies. Career Fair participants will have the Career Fair symbol next to their job vacancies indicating that they'll be interviewing on site. Register and pay by September 5th and your company name will be included in the Exhibit's Guide that is distributed on site.
At convention, job seekers will obtain an alphabetical listing with the company name, the booth number, and the state where the job is available from the Career Fair registration desk. There will also be a listing of participants by booth number in numerical order.

After you register and pay for your Career Fair Booth, take advantage of this free offer.

What is the Resume Star Program?
The Resume Star program is an opportunity for employers to volunteer to meet one-on-one to help polish job seeker resumes. Participants need to be available at their booth on Friday afternoon for fifteen minute sessions. Being a Resume Star will help bring traffic to your booth, gives visibility to your company or organization, give you a first look at potential employees, and creates a positive experience for everybody. Be sure to sign up when you purchase your booth. Purchase your Career Fair interview booth today to get the best location. Resume Stars will be identified on their booth sign. The hours are Friday, November 21, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. in McCormick Place, West Building, Level 3.
