Student Volunteer Information

Don't Miss the Fun - Apply to be a Student Volunteer!

Would you like to volunteer and receive a complimentary registration for ASHA in Chicago? We need student volunteers to help monitor educational programs, assist presenters, answer questions, check badges, confirm audiovisual and room sets, or assist with special events.

Qualifications

  • Must be a full-time student (NSSLHA and NAFDA members will be given priority)
  • Available to work up to 10 hours at the ASHA Convention
  • Attend one orientation meeting prior to work assignment (the session will depend on your scheduled work day); orientation will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
  • If accepted, you must register for Convention. You will be reimbursed for the Early Bird registration fee ($180).

Student Volunteers Will Receive:

  • Reimbursement for the early bird Convention registration fee ($180) after you have completed your work assignment; a check will be mailed to you immediately after Convention
  • A special ASHA oxford shirt to wear and keep
  • Access to sessions that you monitor during your working period
  • The opportunity to meet and network with your peers and ASHA members

Deadline

The deadline for submitting an application is August 27, 2008. Notifications will be sent via e-mail on September 10.
