Participation Information
ASHA forum events are typed online discussions. An ASHA or NSSLHA member e-mail address and password are required to access the events. You do not need to register to participate and the events are not offered for CEUs.
Once you are logged into the forum event, click your browser's refresh button (or F5) every few minutes to see new messages. When the page refreshes, new messages will appear at the bottom of the page. If you want to send in a question or comment to add to the event, click the "add reply" button, type in your message, and then click the "post reply" button. This will add your message to our queue, and your message will be sent to the experts in the order it was received.
ASHA live events frequently draw a large audience. As a result, we often don't have time to get to every question asked. However, participants are encouraged to forward their unanswered questions to the experts via email after the event has ended.
The events are archived permanently in the ASHA forums. If you would like to print a copy of a forum event discussion for your personal use, you can do so by going into the event topic, clicking on "Topic Options" (located in the topic title bar on the right side of the screen) and selecting "Printable Version" from the drop-down menu. However, it is a copyright violation to use the printed content in any other way without permission, including sharing it by email, posting it on a Web site, quoting it in another publication, or printing a copy for distribution to others, including students, colleagues, etc.
