Legendary rock musician Mick Fleetwood with Annie Glenn, wife of astronaut and Senator John Glenn. Fleetwood received the Annie Glenn Award from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Saturday, November 19, 2005 in San Diego, CA. ASHA, which represents audiologists and speech-language pathologists, established the award to recognize individuals who help people with communication disorders. A leading advocate for hearing loss prevention and treatment, Fleetwood thanked ASHA members for “opening the door to creativity and expression—one of the most precious things one human being can do for another.”
