Mavis Leno, wife of comedian Jay Leno, keynoted the national convention of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) on Friday, November 18, 2005 in San Diego, CA. Leno, an advocate for women’s rights, told ASHA members that “Communication plays an enormous role” in the struggle for human rights all over the world.
