Impact Factor Information

Impact factors, calculated and reported by Thomson Scientific's ISI Web of Knowledge, represent one way of measuring the impact of a scientific journal on the scientific discipline it covers. The impact factor represents a ratio calculated by dividing the number of current year citations (i.e., 2006) to the articles published by a journal during the preceding two year period (i.e., 2004 and 2005) by the number of source or "citable" articles published in that journal in the same two year period. Higher scores indicate more citations and, presumably, higher impact.

The 2006 impact factor is .885. The rank in the LINGUISTICS category is 21 of 47 titles. The rank in the REHABILITATION category is 26 of 49 titles.

Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research (JSLHR)
The 2006 impact factor is 1.801. The rank in the LINGUISTICS category is 4 of 47 titles. The rank in the REHABILITATION category is 2 of 49 titles.

Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools (LSHSS)
