NSSLHA Grant Program for Chapters

There are two grants available for NSSLHA Chapters: the Community Service Grant and the Nancy McKinley Regional Project Grant.

Community Service Grants

NSSLHA Chapters in good standing are eligible to receive matching funds up to $1,000 to purchase equipment (e.g., AAC devices, computers and/or peripheral computer devices) or other materials (e.g., clinical tests, software) to donate to a nonprofit organization.

Applying for a Community Service Grant is simple:

  • Complete a Community Service Grant Application Form online.

  • Submit the application electronically to the national office by March 1 (for consideration at the spring Executive Council meeting) or November 1 (for consideration at the fall Executive Council meeting).

Nancy McKinley Regional Project Grants

NSSLHA Chapters in good standing are eligible to receive funds up to $1000 to support educationally oriented projects designed by NSSLHA members with the goal of benefiting the students within a given region. This award is named in honor of Nancy McKinley, founding owner of Thinking Publications, because of her dedication to NSSLHA and students pursuing careers in the communication sciences.

Applying for a McKinley Regional Project Grant is simple:

  • Complete a McKinley Regional Project Application Form online.
