2023 Resolutions and Motions
The following resolutions and motions were considered by the NSSLHA Executive Council in 2023. This page will be updated as action is taken.
EC 20-2023
RESOLVED, That a $5,000 contribution to the ASHFoundation be conditionally made based upon National NSSLHA’s 2023 operating net income being at least $5,000 before the contribution is made.
EC 19-2023
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve new criteria for the National NSSLHA Member Honors Application.
EC 18-2023
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve the 2024-2026 National NSSLHA Strategic Plan.
EC 17-2023
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve new criteria for the National NSSLHA Student Leadership Application replacing the letter of recommendation with a reference form with Likert scale.
EC 16-2023
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve 3 awardees for the ASHFoundation NSSLHA Scholarship.
EC 15-2023
RESOLVED, That NSSLHA grow non-dues revenue through ASHA's email list sales channel.
EC 14-2023
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve Sarah Richard as SSO (SLP) for Hawaii, Lilly Westgate as SSO (AUD) for Ohio, and Sara Smith as SSO (SLP) for Washington for the 2023-2024 term.
EC 13-2023
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council appoint the President-Elect as a co-chair for the IDEA Work Group, replacing the Vice President for Finance.
EC 12-2023
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve Pamela Rodriquez Ramos as SSO (SLP) for Puerto Rico and Rachel Karras as SSO (SLP) for Wisconsin for the 2023-2024 term.

RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve members for the 2023-2024 Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Action (IDEA) work group.
EC 10-2023
RESOLVED, That National NSSLHA revise the NSSLHA Chapter Honors requirements to include the completion of two (2) diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) activities for any chapter seeking to obtain Chapter Honors.

RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve the 2023-2024 Student State Officer slate.
EC 08-2023
RESOLVED, That National NSSLHA post on social media affirming their commitment to building a strong and diverse membership community, specifically supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students, and ensuring financial resources and opportunities for all students.

RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve the 2023-2025 Executive Council slate.
EC 06-2023
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve new criteria for the National NSSLHA Undergraduate Scholarship replacing the letter of recommendation with a reference form with Likert scale.

RESOLVED, That the Executive Council select the 2022-2023 Chapter of the Year awardee.

RESOLVED, That the Executive Council revise the National NSSLHA Pre-Professional guidelines to expand our anti-discrimination clause.

RESOLVED, That the Executive Council extend the 2020-2022 National NSSLHA Strategic Plan and related initiatives, including the IDEA Work Group, through December 31, 2023.
