Chapter Grants

Affiliated-NSSLHA chapters may apply for up to $500 to support activities that benefit their chapter members and communities.

APPLY NOW

Application closes October 4, 2026 at 11:59 P.M., ET.

Funding may be used for hands-on learning, career preparation, outreach, advocacy, and other activities related to audiology, CSD, and speech-language pathology.

NSSLHA intends to award grants across all regions. At least one grant may be awarded in each region if eligible applications are received. These grants are intended to help cover costs that your chapter cannot otherwise pay for. Priority will be given to projects that need grant funding in order for the event/program to happen or to be accessible to participants. The funds must be used by no later than May 31, 2027.

Examples of activities that may be funded include:

  • Hands-on learning or clinical education events;
  • Outreach to high school students about careers in audiology and speech-language pathology;
  • Materials for communication and inclusion groups, such as ASL, ESOL, or aphasia groups;
  • Learning activities with students or professionals from other health-related fields; and
  • Advocacy education events, such as panels, lectures, or service projects.

All projects must be relevant to audiology, CSD, and/or speech-language pathology students.

Grant funds may not be used to:

  • Provide scholarships or travel support for students attending the ASHA Convention;
  • Support fundraising activities;
  • Provide gifts, prizes, or awards to speakers or participants;
  • Purchase equipment for the chapter or another organization;
  • Pay for ongoing chapter operating expenses; or
  • Support or oppose any candidate for public office, political party, or political campaign, including endorsements, campaign contributions, fundraising, or partisan campaign activity.
