Applying for IDEA Work Group
The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action (IDEA) Workgroup provides support to National NSSLHA’s 2020-2022 Strategic Plan (Goals 1 and 3). IDEA’s primary responsibilities are to:
- increase opportunities to better engage and retain multicultural (minority) students,
- provide support for students from all intersectionalities,
- increase opportunities to educate CSD students about cultural competence and cultural humility.

8 member positions will be available for the 2021-2022 term.

Confirm Your Eligibility
To apply, you must be a National NSSLHA member, and an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a CSD program during the full 1-year term. Clinical Fellows are not eligible.

Applications Reviewed by the National NSSLHA Office
All applications will be reviewed by the National NSSLHA Office to confirm eligibility.
Applications Reviewed by the Executive Council
The Executive Council will review eligible applications and approve those slated for a position.
New IDEA Work Group Members Announced
Select IDEA Work Group members will be notified in July. The NSSLHA National Office will announce results publicly in September.
Terms Begin
IDEA Work Group members will start their 1-year term on September 1.
